Understanding why your computer is running slow
Computer, when running slow, is very disgusting. It is because it makes us wait and people usually don’t like waiting. There are actually reasons why a computer runs slowly. In this post I will discuss to you the main reasons why a computer runs slowly.
Start-up Programs have a big impact in the speed of the computer. It is a fact that a person would not easily move if he is carrying big heavy bags. So it is like computer. Having too many start-up programs would make the computer slow. (Check my other post to learn how to disable start-up programs.)
One of the factor that makes a computer slow is the number of running program. For example, you are using Mozilla firefox while using Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Word. So in this case, the computer will run slowly if you have a less memory RAM. RAM is a part of the computer which support the activity of the computer. It is like the heartin which you cannot turn on a computer without a RAM. There are many varies sizes of RAM and version. Nowadays, 1GB up to 8GB is available worldwide. A computer can support two RAM at a time. Depending on the manufacturer of your Motherboard some computer can support only the 2GB per slot. So if you have two 2GB slot, then you’re computer can support up to 4GB.
Some manufacturer of Motherboard supports 8GB. Meaning each slot can support up to 4GB per slot. The RAM differs on it’s version and capability. The RAM created on the 90’s are slower compare to the current version. It is recommended for the person to buy the new computer versions. The current versions of RAM are SDRAM, DDR1, DDR2, DDR3 and DDR4 in the future. The Version and the capacity of the RAM depend on what motherboard you have and how strong is your CPU.
Virus and Malware also contributes a lot in making a computer slow. It is highly recommended for you to INSTALL a computer anti-virus which are strong enough to protect your computer. A virus affects the speed, for a fact that it makes different errors in the SYSTEM of a computer. Some viruses, connects also in the internet causing the slowness of the internet connection and the computer performance.

For the first century or so of their caliphate, the Abbasids acted as the leaders of Islam both religiously and politically, despite the fact that during this period their authority was rejected by some. The peak of their power probably occurred in the reign of Harun ar-Rashid, who relied heavily on the Barmakid family of administrators. Following Harun’s death there was a period of civil war between his two sons,
al-Amin and al-Mamun. Al-Mamun finally triumphed but the prestige of the family was damaged.
By the end of the 9th century the Abbasids were unable to exercise real religious or political authority. Their religious authority had been taken over by the religious scholars of Sunni Islam following the failure of the caliphs’ attempt to impose their will over them in the trial of strength known as the Mihna (833-847). As a result of this episode the caliphs were restricted to a largely symbolic role as merely nominal leaders of Sunni Islam. Followers of Shia Islam rejected the Abbasids completely.
Politically the caliphs had become puppets in the hands of their Turkish soldiers, who were able to remove and install caliphs as they wished. In 908 one caliph held office for one day only. The process culminated with the institution in 935 of the title Amir al-Umara (Commander of the Commanders), which was taken by the real political power, the chief of the Turkish soldiers.
At the same time, territories that the Abbasids controlled fell apart as independent states arose in regions previously under Abbasid rule. Some of the rulers of these states recognized the suzerainty of the Abbasids, but this was merely a token. In 945 the Shia Buwayhid family conquered Baghdād itself, and for the next century the Abbasid caliphate survived mainly because the Buwayhids found it useful in various ways.
Although the 9th and 10th centuries saw a decline in the power of the caliphs, the period was one of great religious and cultural importance. The trial of strength between the caliphs and the Sunni religious scholars sealed the rise of the Sunni form of Islam. It prepared the way for the appearance of the great books of Sunni law and the collections of hadiths (reports about Muhammad). Only slightly later, the Shia form of Islam achieved its definitive form when the line of the 12 Imams came to an end in 873, an event followed by the appearance of books of Shia law and distinctive collections of hadiths.
Philosophy, medicine, mathematics, and other sciences flourished as the Islamic world appropriated and developed the knowledge and wisdom of earlier and surrounding cultures. Particularly important was the science and philosophy of the Hellenistic Near East, and the 9th and 10th centuries saw the translation into Arabic of several works by (or attributed to) figures like Aristotle, Plato, Euclid, Galen, and others. The work of translation was encouraged by the Abbasid al-Mamun who founded the so-called House of Wisdom (Dar al-Hikma) in Baghdād as a center for it. Arabic-speaking Christians were especially active in the production of translations. The system of so-called Arabic numerals originated in India, but was adopted at this time by Islamic civilization, then later transmitted to the West.
The political fragmentation of the caliphate led to the emergence of many local courts and centers of power, which also encouraged the development of science and philosophy as well as poetry and prose, art, and architecture. Some of the local courts that emerged in the eastern regions of the caliphate are especially associated with the rise of an Islamic Persian literature and Iranian national sentiment.
In 1055 the Seljuk Turks, who were Sunnis, captured Baghdād, but this made no significant difference to the position of the caliphs. Although once again honored as symbols of the unity of Sunni Islam, their freedom of action was severely limited. Only in times of Seljuk weakness were individual caliphs occasionally able to exercise some power and influence. By the time the Mongol Empire ended the line of caliphs in 1258, Sunni Islam no longer needed even the symbolic role of the caliphate. It is true that the Mamluk sultans of Egypt established a puppet caliphate in Cairo, installing various members of the Abbasid family who had escaped the fall of Baghdād. Since the end of the Abbasid caliphate in Baghdād, however, no claimant to the office has achieved anything like general recognition among the Muslims.
After their first century or so the Abbasids cannot be said to have had much control over events. They nevertheless provided a focus of loyalty for Sunni Islam during an often turbulent period, and their caliphate may be seen in retrospect as the golden age of Islamic civilization.
Brief History of Umayyad Dynasty
Umayyad, also Omayyad, first great Arab Muslim dynasty of caliphs (religious and secular leaders) founded by Muawiyah I in 661 and lasting until 750. Uthman ibn Affan, a member of the prominent Umayyad family of Mecca, had been elected to the caliphate in 644 to succeed Umar I, but his weakness and nepotism resulted in rebellion and he was murdered in 656. Uthman was succeeded by Ali, son-in-law of the prophet Muhammad and chief of the legitimist party, which believed that only a member of Muhammad’s family could rightfully hold the caliphate. However, Muawiyah I, governor of Syria and first Umayyad caliph, revolted against Ali and, supported by Amr, the conqueror of Egypt, gained the advantage. Hailed as caliph at Jerusalem in 660, Muawiyah I was in complete control soon after the assassination of Ali the following year. Under Muawiyah I the capital was changed from Medina to Damascus. Muawiyah I developed an administrative system modeled after the Byzantine Empire and before his death in 680 had secured the throne for his son, thus putting the state on a dynastic basis. Conquest was begun again with an offensive on all fronts. Under Muawiyah I and his Umayyad successors, Muslim control of the Mediterranean region was completed. The Arabs, led by a fierce North African Berber army commanded by Tariq, crossed from North Africa and eventually conquered Spain; in the east they met no effective opposition until they had passed the borders of India. They were stopped in the west by the Franks under Charles Martel and by the Byzantine Empire, which repulsed an attack on Constantinople early in the 8th century.
Under the Umayyad dynasty, political and social ascendancy remained in the hands of a few Arab families from Mecca and Medina. This caused the Muslim population, which had grown enormously as the empire expanded, to become increasingly discontented, especially since the Umayyads had found it necessary to increase their income from taxation. Lands were now taxed without regard to religion, and Muslims were exempt only from personal taxes. Opposition centered in Persia where there was continued opposition to Syrian domination and where the legitimists allied themselves with the Abbasids, who claimed descent from Abbas, the uncle of the prophet Muhammad. The Abbasids overthrew the Umayyads in 750, killed the caliph, Marwan II, and gained the caliphate for themselves. Members of the Umayyad family were located and slain, except for Abd-ar-Rahman I, who escaped to Córdoba, Spain, in 756 to rule as an independent emir. The Abbasids moved the capital of the empire eastward to a new city, Baghdād, which they founded on the Tigris River.
TOP 14 SEO tips and tricks
Search engine optimization can seem daunting, but you can take a number of simple actions to boost your rankings. Try the suggestions described in the following list on your own blog and start driving search traffic to your posts:
- Use your keyword or keyword phrase in your blog post titles. Search engines weigh titles more heavily than other text, so do your best to include your keywords in your post titles.
- Use your keyword or keyword phrase within the first paragraph of your blog post. Search engines value the text within the first few hundred characters of your post more heavily than other text, so be sure to repeat your keywords in this part of your post.
- Use your keyword or keyword phrase as hyperlinks within your blog posts. Make sure that the hyperlinks within your blog posts include your keywords when it’s appropriate. For example, rather than write “Read more here,” with the word here as the hyperlink, write “Follow the link to read more about parenting tips,” with parenting tips as the hyperlink. Search engines value linked text higher than normal text, so use that concept to your advantage by using keywords in your links.
- Use heading tags and include your keywords within them. Rather than simply make headings and subheads boldface, apply the HTML H1, H2, and H3 tags to that text. These tags are valued higher by search engines than normal or bolded text is.
- Use your keyword or keyword phrase around links in your posts. Search engines value the text surrounding links within your posts higher than normal text, so if you can’t use your keywords within a link, try to use them in the text surrounding the links.
- Use your keyword or keyword phrase to name images used in your posts. Take a moment to rename images used in your blog posts to include your keywords when those keywords are relevant to the image. Enter a descriptor using your keywords in the alt tag (the alternative text if the image doesn’t appear in the person’s Web browser) of your post’s HTML.
- Include your keyword phrase in your blog’s URL. If you can get a domain name that includes your keywords, you hit the jackpot. When possible, try to include keywords in some part of each blog post’s URL.
- Ask for incoming links from similar sites. Leverage your online relationships,as described earlier in this chapter, to boost incoming links to your blogs. Links from topically similar blogs and Web sites are weighted more heavily than those from irrelevant sites. Similarly, links from popular blogs and Web sites are weighted more heavily than links from blogs and Web sites that have little traffic and lower page ranks.
- Use variations of your keyword or keyword phrase. Don’t feel tied down to a specific keyword or keyword phrase. Search engine algorithms are intelligent, and they accordingly understand and rank variations of a word or phrase used within your blog posts.
- Intralink your blog posts. Although links within your own blog aren’t valued as highly as external links by search engines are, they’re still important. Internal links are given some weight in search engine rankings, but more importantly, they lead visitors to more content, which can provide more opportunities for visitors to find content of interest that they want to link to from their own blogs or Web sites.
- Post frequently. Your posting frequency has an indirect effect on your search engine traffic. With each new keyword-optimized blog post, you increase the chances that someone will find your blog, enjoy the content and link to it, and generate more incoming links, which search engines value highly.
- Comment on other blogs and in online forums and groups. Commenting is useful in terms of indirect search engine optimization because it can lead new visitors to your blog who might enjoy what they read there and link to it from their own blogs and Web sites — thereby boosting your search rankings.
- Build relationships. With each new relationship you build online, you develop another portal for sharing information and potential incoming links.
- Write useful content. The bottom line is that you should write posts that people want to link to.

Life of Vincent van Gogh
Vincent van Gogh (March 30, 1853 - July 29, 1890) is generally considered the greatest Dutch painter after Rembrandt, though he had little success during his lifetime. Van Gogh produced all of his work (some 900 paintings and 1100 drawings) during a period of only 10 years before he succumbed to mental illness (possibly bipolar disorder) and committed suicide. His fame grew rapidly after his death especially following a showing of 71 of van Gogh's paintings in Paris on March 17, 1901 (11 years after his death).
Vincent was born in Zundert, The Netherlands; his father was a protestant minister, a profession that Vincent found appealing and to which he would be drawn to a certain extent later in his life. His sister described him as a serious and introspective child.
At age 16 Vincent started to work for the art dealer Goupil & Co. in The Hague. His four years younger brother Theo, with whom Vincent cherished a life long friendship, would join the company later. This friendship is amply documented in a vast amount of letters they sent each other. These letters have been preserved and were published in 1914. They provide a lot of insight into the life of the painter, and show him to be a talented writer with a keen mind. Theo would support Vincent financially throughout his life.
In spring 1886 Vincent van Gogh went to Paris, where he moved in with his brother Theo; they shared a house on Montmartre. Here he met the painters met Edgar Degas, Camille Pissarro, Bernard, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Paul Gauguin. Especially the technique known as pointillism (where many small dots are applied to the canvas that blend into rich colors only in the eye of the beholder, seeing it from a distance) made its mark on Van Goghs own style. It should be noted that Van Gogh is regarded as a post-impressionist, rather than an impressionist.
In May 1890 Vincent van Gogh left the clinic and went to the physician Paul Gachet, in Auvers-sur-Oise near Paris, where he was closer to his brother Theo, who had recently married. Gachet had been recommended to him by Pissarro; he had treated several artists before. Here van Gogh created his only etching: a portrait of the melancholic doctor Gachet. His depression aggravated. On July 27 of the same year, at the age of 37, after a fit of painting activity, van Gogh shot himself in the chest. He died two days later, with Theo at his side, who reported his last words as "La tristesse durera toujours" (French: "The sadness will last forever"). He was buried at the cemetery of Auvers-sur-Oise; Theo unable to come to terms with his brother's death died 6 months later and was buried next to him. It would not take long before his fame grew higher and higher. Large exhibitions were organized soon: Paris 1901, Amsterdam 1905, Cologne 1912, New York 1913 and Berlin 1914.
Vincent van Gogh's mother threw away quite a number of his paintings during Vincent's life and even after his death. But she would live long enough to see her son become a world famous painter.
Making Internet Connection faster in Simple Way: Smart Bro and Globe Tattoo
Broadband is a broadband offered by the various communication companies. Most of the People using Broadband are experiencing slow connection. Here in my post, you will be able to know on how to make Smart Bro speed faster in just simple steps and guidelines.
There are four factors that affect the speed of the Broadband. Those are a) Location of the computer; b) Time; c) Availability of Network Signals; d) Program Running on the Computer. Further explanation will follow together with the suggested steps on how to improve your speed.
A) The Location of the Computer
Some people do not consider the location of the computer they are using. Putting a computer in a close area and in non-elevated area affects really the speed of the internet. It is much recommended that the computer much be placed near the window. It is for the signal to be easily received by the Broadband. Also the Placing of the CPU Case affects the speed. It is much better to put it above the table as seen in the picture:
People usually use USB cords to the CPU USB slot and connected to the Broadband. In Physics, we all know that the longer the wire, the bigger is the Resistance. So in that, we can conclude that it is much appreciated to connect it directly in the CPU USB Slot.
B) TIME
Time really affects the speed. When connecting in the afternoon or in lunch time, we can simply notice that the internet connection is much slower than in the early morning. It is because when the server is loaded with many request, it works much slower. So, it is recommended to connect in internet in early morning rather than in afternoon and as so as in the evening.
C) Availability of Signals
Even doing and applying all tweaks in making the internet connection much faster, it will never work if the signal is weak in your area. In Municipalities, the internet connection is much slower. It is due to the fact that the Communication companies focuses only on Cities.
D) Program Running in the Computer
Most of the Time, people are using different application in the same time. Using program that connects to the internet makes one’s internet connection slow. Below are the common programs that uses internet connection:
1. Windows Update- Recommended to disable it.
2. Anti-Virus- Not recommended to disable it.
3. Internet Filter- Recommended to disable if you have good Anti-Virus as stated in my other posts.
4. Microsoft Office- Recommended not to run it while having internet session.
5. Yahoo Messenger- Recommended to close/ terminating it.
6. Adobe Products- Recommended not to run this programs.
7. Windows Fire Wall- Recommended to disable if you have good anti-virus as stated in my other posts.
All unnecessary programs must be turn off to ensure more faster internet Connection.
