Military Occupation (Filipino- American War)
- Capt. John C. Bates was sent to the Moros to neutralized them from the war that is happening in the northern Philippines. This Policy was known as the “Non-Interference Policy” of the Americans.
- At this time the Americans were at good term with the Moros.
- Kiram-Bates Agreement was made possible on March 23, 1901.
Moro Province Period
- The Kiram-Bates Agreement was abrogated.
- Moros were forced to surrender.
- Laws were Implemented Such as the 496: Land Registration Act and 718: Public Land Act.
- Moros resisted the American Policy that resulted to the Moro Battles:
o Battle of Bud Bagsak
o Battle of Taraka
o Battle of Bacolod
o Battle of Bayang (Padang Karbala)- the Bloodiest Battle in the Philippine History
- Resistances were defeated.
